MUSIC CITY, DUBAI

2011 - project

Architecture, interior and landscape design

The structure of “The City of Music” was conceived as a geometrical matrix: squares, rectangles and circles which unravel into streets and squares. The fulcrum consists of a large square covered in glass with its opening representing an ear which 'listens' to the music generated by the city. The prospectus of the architecture is characterized by the smooth glass and rough bricks with ceramic elements paving tribute to Islamic Architecture and using technology for maximum energy efficiency.
